Every last Wednesday of August, the small town of Buñol transforms into a battlefield of tomatoes. What started as a spontaneous food fight in 1945 is now the world's messiest festival. Trucks dump tomatoes, the cannon fires, and absolute mayhem ensues for exactly one hour until water cannons signal the end.
